BUCYRUS -- Bucyrus Police say they foiled a robbery Monday night after spotting one of the would-be burglars trying to gain access to a second-floor window via a TV antenna tower.
According to a Bucyrus Police report, officers interrupted a burglary in progress at approximately 7:02 p.m. in the 100 block of E. Mary St. A detective observed a subject on a television antenna tower gaining access to a second-floor window.
Other officers responded and police say Dirk Bloom, 36, was arrested for burglary. He was taken to the Crawford County Justice Center to be held for a court appearance. A 17-year-old male was also arrested for burglary. He was taken to the Wood County Juvenile Detention Center to be held until he can appear in Juvenile Court.

7:52 p.m. A juvenile complaint was reported in the 400 block of E. Rensselaer
8:08 p.m. A theft report was taken in the 100 block of Plymouth St.
8:25 p.m. A false alarm was investigated in the 1200 block of E. Southern Av.
8:41 p.m. A welfare check was requested in the 1600 block of Marion Rd.
9:03 p.m. Officers mediated a domestic issue in the 300 block of Short St.
9:29 p.m. A report of a parking issue in the 500 block of W. Warren St. was investigated. The motorist ran out of gas.
10:37 p.m. A report of possible drugs found at Walmart was investigated.
11:10 p.m. Officers mediated a domestic issue in the Waterford Glen area.
11:19 p.m. A report of a suspicious vehicle in the E. Warren St. area was investigated. The subject stopped to text and fell asleep.
11:39 p.m. A male reported being assaulted while in the E. Rensselaer St. area.
Tuesday, June 23
12:06 a.m. Officers assisted with an unruly juvenile at Bucyrus Plaza.
1:23 a.m. A N. Walnut St. resident reported being assaulted. The incident is under investigation.
2:01 a.m. A report of 3 suspicious males in the 500 block of S. East St. was investigated.
2:49 a.m. A report of a suspicious male in the 400 block of E. Warren St. was investigated.
