According to a Crawford County Sheriff's report, at around 7:49 p.m. deputies arrived on the scene of an injury crash. A black 2004 Harley Davidson motorcycle driven by Timothy E. Dye was traveling north on Ohio 19. Meanwhile, a teal green Ford F150 driven by 35-year-old William A. Campbell from Shelby, was also traveling north on Ohio 19 in front of Dye and was yielding for emergency vehicles and stopped.
Authorities say Dye attempted to avoid a collision with the pick-up truck and crashed his motorcycle. Campbell was not injured.
The roadway was closed by the Holmes Township Volunteer Fire Department. The crash remains under investigation and alcohol is not suspected in the crash.
Hensley’s Towing removed the motorcycle from the crash scene and Campbell was issued a traffic citation for driving with a suspended license.
