Dimitri Miles, 27, of Bucyrus was charged with aggravated burglary Wednesday after an incident in a Greenwich residence during which the suspect allegedly brandished a gun and threatened to shoot his ex-girlfriend.

Mills, armed with a gun, entered the residence without permission and began threatening to shoot his ex-girlfriend and her boyfriend while they were lying in bed with two children, ages 4 and 3, according to sheriffs department Maj. Joe Masi.

Masi said Mills then struck the male in the face three times with a closed fist before leaving he left the residence and drove away.

Law enforcement later later contacted Mills in Bucyrus and he denied ever being in the area of the victim's residence. Multiple witnesses, however, provided Mills' clothing description when he was at the Greenwich residence, which he was wearing when contacted at his Bucyrus home.

A 40-caliber Hi-Point pistol was found in a vehicle that matched the description of the one used at the victim's residence.

Aggravated burglary is a first-degree felony under Ohio law.
