BUCYRUS -- A quick run to pick up a pizza took a dramatic turn toward incarceration for three people in Bucyrus on Thursday.

According to a Bucyrus Police report, a traffic stop was made at approximately 8:16 p.m. on East Mansfield Street at Whetstone Street. The driver was issued a citation for an expired operators license, saying he had to drive to pick up a pizza.

Samuel Singer, 34, Jeffrey Ramsey, 46 and Brooke Davis, 26, were arrested in the 1300 block of East Mansfield Street for drug possession and drug paraphernalia. Officers seized about 5 grams of suspected methamphetamine from the subjects involved and the vehicle was towed.

6:18 p.m. Officers assisted Portsmouth Ambulance in the 1000 block of W. Beal Av.

6:31 p.m. A welfare check was requested in the area of Warren and Lane St.

7:25 p.m. Officers attempted to serve a warrant.

7:31 p.m. A report of two dogs running loose was made in the 400 block of Wallace Av.

7:33 p.m. Officers attempted to serve a warrant.

7:43 p.m. A welfare check was requested in the 200 block of E. Warren St.

9:16 p.m. A disturbance was investigated in the 400 block of Charlotte St. Officers investigated a report of noise in the woods and spoke with a man that saved a cat.

11:59 p.m. Officers investigated a report of a disturbance in the 1700 block of Whetstone St. An open line 911 call was reportedly a misdial.

12:46 a.m. Officers assisted EMS in the 500 block of S. East St.

3:25 a.m. A report of a disturbance in the 400 block of W. Mansfield St. was investigated. There was a report of yelling, but it had quieted down.
