Details for Health Educator
CACY, Inc., a non-profit, accredited social service organization, is seeking a health educator to facilitate curriculum presentation lessons related to the prevention of youth bullying, alcohol, tobacco, substances, violence, problem gambling and suicide. Location of services may include schools and community sites throughout Richland County, Ohio. Position will also include brief individual and small group pro-social independent living skill activities with adolescents.
Successful candidate must be able to role model healthy decision-making and work well with various age and developmental groups, is energetic, a self-starter, adaptable, and demonstrate effective and efficient organizational and written/verbal communication skills. Minimum education level for employment is an Associate degree in a human behavior, health, or communication field. Starting wage will be based on education attainment level and experience related to position duties.
Candidate must have reliable daily transportation and schedule adaptability throughout the academic year. Successful candidate may choose between a 10-month or 12-month work schedule. Benefits depended on number of work hours completed. Must be able to lift a minimum of 35 pounds. Position is subject to pre-employment substance use screening, background review, and must attest to being tobacco and nicotine free.
