Details for Adena Corp Hiring Commercial Caulk & Sealant Installer


The Commercial Caulk & Sealant Installer installs caulking and sealants of all types as required by project scope. Installer cleans and washes masonry veneer. Installer provides punch list touch up work as required by project architect.


Primary Job Responsibilities:

•  Caulks and seals for interior and exterior masonry control joints

•  Caulks and seals for interior and exterior concrete control joints

•  Caulks hollow metal frames

•  Caulks dissimilar materials as required by project scope

•  Installs spray applied masonry sealants and graffiti guards

•  Installs spray applied air barrier products and related flashings and transition membranes

•  Power washes finish masonry units clean by use of pressure washer and masonry cleaning detergent

•  Grinds out, chisels or otherwise removes weathered, damaged or defective mortar joints and installs new mortar (tuckpointing)

•  Completes finish punch list work including cleaning, tuckpointing, patching, painting, caulking, etc.

•  Adheres to the company’s safety policies to create a safe work environment

•  Other duties as assigned

 Desired Qualifications/Skills:

· High School Diploma or GED required

· Sufficient education or an equivalent combination of experience, education, and training that provides the desired knowledge, skills and characteristics to perform mason duties

· Aerial work platform certification (boom lift and scissor lift) or willingness to obtain upon hire

· 10 Hour OSHA Certification or willingness to obtain within ninety (90) days of employment

· Must maintain a valid driver’s license and clean driving record

· Eye for detail work and able to complete work in a neat and detailed manner

· Ability to work at heights without fear including work on scaffolding and ladders

· Ability to perform on a regular basis in outside weather conditions consisting of wet, hot, humid, and/or freezing temperatures, also contending with dirt and dust

· Must be willing and able to travel to jobsites which may require overnight stays away from home

· Ability to meet attendance schedule with dependability and consistency

· Must have a good work ethic, and the ability to understand and carry out written or verbal instructions

· Ability to use equipment and tools in a safe and efficient manner

· Ability to work in a team environment

· Excellent communication skills
