The Good Family

The Good Family opened Locust Corners Bulk Foods & Deli LLC back in 2013, and it has remained a valuable asset in the Bellville community.

BELLVILLE – Although no one predicted how 2020 would go, it’s certainly kept more people together now more than ever. As the holidays near, so do close family gatherings and last-minute grocery shopping.

Locust Corners Bulk Foods & Deli LLC, a small business located in Bellville, offers personal service and quality products that have customers coming back for more.

After opening in spring 2013, the deli has received a steady amount of clientele, but this year Wesley Good, owner, said more people have been showing up and showing their support.

“I didn't expect the surge in business due to the Coronavirus,” Good said.

Locust Corners specializes in quality deli products as well as down to earth ingredients for families that still enjoy sitting down to eat meals together.

There will be a Holiday Open House on December 12, with in-store specials and tasting. Good said stocking melting chocolate and other candy making ingredients, as well as holiday meal prep ingredients, will be a priority.

Good, along with his wife Lois, started their business thinking it’d only been a wishful dream, but now they’ve seen what a necessity bulk foods are in the Bellville community. Along with opening up a successful deli, they’ve also gotten to learn more about their fellow community members.

Good hopes his deli will continue to be a blessing to the community as his family does their part in helping serve others in and out of a crisis.

“By being there for each other and trusting God to work things out for our good, we can continue to enjoy life and know that in time all will be well,” Good said.

This article was paid for by the small business mentioned. This holiday season, we will feature profiles on various local businesses encouraging readers to shop small. Read all the stories here.
