Mary Anne’s Meats is dedicated to providing local products to the Mansfield community.
“From the time Mary Anne was a little girl she imagined her meat market the way it is today, kind of old fashioned, people-oriented and offering a beautiful array of healthy, real meat,” said Kym Lamb, social media and projects manager.
This holiday season, Mary Anne’s Meats will offer the highest quality favorites such as smoked hams (boneless & semi-boneless), Bowman & Landes Turkeys, Beef Standing Rib Roasts and Beef Tenderloin Roasts.
“Without question, the one thing we love most about our community is the people. We have the most wonderful customers,” Mary Anne Kettering said.
“We can tell you exactly what you are getting,” Kettering said. “The beauty of a small shop is that you can actually watch us cut the meat we offer. We are an old style meat market. We cut what you want the way you want it, from a product you can trust.”
Kettering enjoys donating her time to nursing homes to share her love of music and has visited schools to talk about music, poetry and writing. Most recently, she spoke to F.I.R.S.T. School on the meat industry and the challenges and obstacles she faced to establish and continue her business.
“We serve our community and customers in small personal measures,” Kettering said. “We believe this is our calling. The meat market has been my ministry.”
The only future plans Mary Anne’s Meats has is to continue to provide wholesome healthy meat for their beloved community.
“There have been people that have walked through my doors that needed more than quality meat. They needed someone to listen to them, pray with them and lift their spirits,” Kettering said. “I have always tried to give my time and resources in these ways because I know the effect each interaction can have on the mind, body and souls of another human being. When I hear the voice in my heart asking me to reach out, that is what I do. I want them to know someone cares.”
