Old Carolina restaurant

Old Carolina is located at 2035 W 4th Street

Serving fresh low and slow-smoked meats and scratch-made sides, Old Carolina Barbeque Company brings an elevated experience and product at an affordable price.

“In 2015 we opened Old Carolina at 2035 W. 4th Street in Ontario and have been serving award-winning barbecue ever since,” said Mark Feeney, franchisee of the company.

The family-run business, started by Feeney and his sister Jami, came after they decided to follow after their father Joe, whom they’d been working for in his stores since they were children.

“My sister and I were both born and raised in Mansfield, and while both of us went to college out of the area, we both felt a connection and duty to Richland County, drawing us both back to continue working in the community that we grew up in,” Feeney said.

With catering clients such as NextGen Films, 179th Airlift Wing, 200th RED HORSE Division, Avita Health Systems, Ohio Health Systems, Gorman Rupp and more, Feeney serves a diverse crowd of regulars and BBQ newcomers alike.

“I like to say that food brings people together and we help facilitate these moments with exceptional barbecue,” Feeney said.

Now accepting catering of all sizes (12-500) people, customers can receive their party pack or catering pack to really make their party stand out.

Feeny hopes to continue their drive toward becoming the area's leader in authentic barbecue, as well as plan to continue the growth of our catering division, which has grown steadily since opening in 2015.

“With over 150 awards in various competitions across the country, we don't plan on resting on our successes,” Feeney said.
