The Habitat for Humanity ReStore sells furniture and home improvement materials at a fraction of the retail price.
Located at 115 Park Ave. W., the ReStore is operated by a local Habitat for Humanity affiliate. Sales proceeds are used to build homes, community and hope locally and around the world.
The ReStore is a low cost alternative for new or gently used furniture, home accessories, building materials, appliances and more. These sales keep materials out of landfills and help improve the community in the process.
“Our community is a diverse landscape full of opportunity and excitement,” Habitat for Humanity ReStore Executive Director Veronna Drane. “It's a great place to grow up and grow old.”
This holiday season, the ReStore is offering weekly specials that may include 50 percent off your purchase, flash sales for up to 75 percent off, and deep discounts in all departments.
“By shopping locally at a Habitat ReStore you are helping improve the lives of people in the communities in which you live, you are helping the environment and you are helping yourself,” said Drane.
The ReStore plans to expand inventory and offer more for less in future years.
There are opportunities to volunteer with the Habitat ReStore. Volunteers ages 14 and older are needed to help with donation pick-up and unloading, pricing and cleaning.
“Whether you believe your are skilled or not, have one day a week or just a few hours a month, represent a group or yourself, there’s an opportunity for you to volunteer with Richland County Habitat for Humanity,” Drane said.
