Although flying cars and hoverboards have yet to grace the new millennium as projected in the “Back to the Future” trilogy, technology has come a long way, especially in terms of security.

Homeowners using Schmidt Security Pro can sleep soundly knowing that their safe space is protected at all times.

“We’ve evolved from security guards that would do it in person as far as managing the safety and security of a business,” said Christen Dingess, director of sales and marketing for Schmidt Security Pro. “We still do have those services, but that's expanded beyond just doing rounds to really helping manage the environment of a facility.”

When Schmidt Security Pro was first developed, the primary focus was on security guards and investigation. Bill Schmidt, founder of Schmidt Security Pro, was a former police detective and wanted to focus on providing those types of security services for businesses and organizations. Over time, as technology advanced, that focus expanded to electronic alarm systems and video cameras.

Before ingraining smartphones with security systems like Schmidt Security Pro offers, nothing else gave consumers the experience of knowing what’s happening on site. Nowadays, even while away from home, live footage from video cameras can be seen, and access can be granted or lifted to someone by the touch of a button.

“You can get notifications of who's coming in and who's going out, whether you're at home, or a business, all of those things can be done directly from your phone,” Dingess said.

As a locally owned and operated business, Schmidt Security Pro’s service technicians take care of customers located right here in Richland County. That obligation and loyalty that’s been entrenched into the community keeps customers coming back for the latest technology.

“If anybody needs any assistance, they're getting it from somebody that knows this area; that grew up in this area; that has ties to the community. That’s always been an important aspect to the Schmidt organization,” Dingess said.

“We’re going to provide the highest level of service and support. It's that commitment to ensuring that whatever solution you get from Schmidt, you're going to know that it is top of the line. It’s going to make sure that you're completely protected, and it's going to grow with you as you want to expand and develop your security measures. We're here to guide and assist all along the way.
