Richland County Foundation building

The historic Ritter House is home to the Richland County Foundation on South Main Street in Mansfield.

MANSFIELD – The Richland County Foundation Board of Trustees approved $524,558 in grants during its December meeting.

As part of the Mansfield Rising Plan, the Foundation approved a grant to spearhead a community branding effort. The grant was awarded to Richland Community Development Group to hire Cubic Creative of Tulsa, Oklahoma to research and collect data to build an authentic brand story.

The Mansfield Rising team determined a cohesive powerful and positive story will foster economic development efforts, tourism, talent attraction and build civic pride.

Other organizations funding the branding project are Destination Mansfield, Richland Area Chamber of Commerce, Mechanics Bank, Richland Bank, and the Richland County Commissioners.

Mansfield Rising is a citizen led plan backed by the Foundation to continue the revitalization of downtown Mansfield. For more details go to and click the Community Impact tab.
