MANSFIELD -- The Longest Day is the day with the most light — the summer solstice. On June 20, people from across the world will fight the darkness of Alzheimer's through an activity of their choice.

Primrose Retirement Community residents and staff will spend Thursday, June 17 honoring and bring awareness of the over six million people who suffer from the disease of Alzheimers by having DJ Tony the Hitman, cornhole tornament for residents, rootbeer floats and games.

“We hope that by doing what we love, it will help shine a light on the Alzheimer’s disease and through a raised awareness, a cure will be found,” said Angela Gardner of Primrose.
