MANSFIELD -- The Women’s Fund of the Richland County Foundation has welcomed five new members. Women’s Fund Advisory Committee Chairwoman Kristie Massa introduced the new members during a luncheon held recently at the Foundation.

The new members are Brigette Coles, Richland County Children’s Services community engagement specialist; Amy Hiner, Ashland University field of education student teacher supervisor; Heidi Jones, North Central State College workforce development trainer; Carol Payton, retired and charter member of the Women’s Fund; and Dr. Johanna Wilson, Providers for Healthy Living psychiatrist.

Massa thanked Carol Chambers, Paula Cohen, and Jeanne Meisse for their dedication after serving the limit of six years on the Women's Fund.

The Women’s Fund currently is driving a new initiative to make quality childcare affordable and accessible to women facing economic insecurities.

Since its inception in 1996, the Women’s Fund has granted almost $379,000 in Richland County to empower women and girls including 37 scholarships to women.
