OLIVESBURG -- Local Modern Woodmen of America members are taking action to make 2021 better for the Ashland community.
The group recently recognized educators and school staff with a drive-thru appreciation event on May 7, 2021.
The socially-distanced event featured Lauren Brown, Financial Representative for Modern Woodmen of America, passing out appreciation gifts for Crestview School Staff.
Supplies were provided by Modern Woodmen’s headquarters in support of the organization’s “2021derful” campaign, a nationwide initiative targeting a different community group each quarter – in March, thanking essential workers; in May, recognizing educators and school staff; in September, honoring first responders and military members for the 20th anniversary of 9/11; and in December, helping families in need by supporting food banks.
