MANSFIELD -- Mechanics Bank on Thursday announced that Barb Blanton, Caroline Worner and Mary Shambaugh have been awarded the James A. Courtney Award.
The award is presented to Mechanics employees who best exemplify the company’s mission – “to pursue excellence in every possible way to enrich the lives of people and the communities we serve.”
The award is presented on a peer nomination basis.
Blanton began her career at Mechanics in 2004. Barb served as a Customer Service Representative and Assistant Branch Manager prior to her current position of Madison Branch Manager.
Worner began her career at Mechanics in 2008 as a seasonal Customer Service Representative. Caroline later served as a Customer Service Specialist and Digital Marketing Specialist prior to her current position of Digital Marketing Manager. She has a bachelor’s degree from the University of Akron in marketing and advertising and is a graduate of the Ohio Bankers League Bank Management School.
Shambaugh began her career at Mechanics in 1990 in the Operations Department and has served in many capacities prior to her current position of Answer Center Specialist.
The James A. Courtney Award, named for Mechanics’ former President, is the company’s most prestigious recognition of performance. Mechanics Bank is Richland County’s only independent bank with nine convenient locations in Richland County.
