MANSFIELD -- Modern Woodmen of America members in Mansfield and Ashland recently came together to donate much needed items to Safe Haven of Ashland.
The project, which took place throughout the month of June benefited Safe Haven with several donations including laundry detergent, personal hygiene products, cleaning supplies, household necessities and much more.
“We’re so excited to be able to give back to our community, especially places that are so important and do something vital for our community,” said Lauren Brown, local Modern Woodmen financial representative and chapter coordinator. “Events like this give our members an opportunity to make a difference and give us a chance to show our love for the community we live in.”
Coordinated by local Modern Woodmen members, the fraternal financial services organization’s Summit chapters, chapters and youth service clubs provide opportunities for members to take part in social and educational activities and volunteer projects to meet local needs.
For more information or to get involved, contact Brown at Lauren.D.Brown@mwarep.org. As a tax-exempt fraternal benefit society, Modern Woodmen sells life insurance, annuity and investment products not to benefit stockholders but to improve quality of life for its members, their families and their communities.
This is accomplished through social, charitable and volunteer activities. Annually, Modern Woodmen and its members provide nearly $20 million and over 400,000 volunteer hours for community projects nationwide.
