KeyBank pillow & toiletry drive

KeyBank's Mansfield-area locations are hosting a pillow and toiletry drive on May 15 to benefit Harmony House and The Domestic Violence Shelter.

MANSFIELD – On May 15, KeyBank will host its 29th annual Neighbors Make the Difference Day, with more than 7,000 bank employees receiving paid time off to volunteer in the neighborhoods where they live and work.

In Mansfield, local KeyBank employees are putting their own spin on Neighbors Make the Difference Day. From May 6 through 17, employees at Mansfield area branches will be hosting a pillow and toiletry drive to benefit Harmony House and The Domestic Violence Shelter.

“Neighbors Day is about KeyBank demonstrating our gratitude to the community and providing our employees with the opportunity to volunteer and give time so they can have an impact on the neighborhoods we serve,” said Dara Shade, manager of KeyBank’s Madison branch and regional Neighbors Day coordinator. “This drive is a unique way for us to partner with our neighbors to truly make a meaningful difference in our community.”

Donations will be accepted during business hours at the following KeyBank branches:

 1001 Ashland Rd Mansfield, OH 44905

 1485 Lexington Ave Mansfield, OH 44907

 688 N Lexington Springmill Rd Mansfield, OH 44906

 345 Marion Ave Mansfield, OH 44903

Items needed include pillows, toothbrushes, toothpaste, toilet tissue, shampoo, body wash, deodorant and more.

In 2018, nearly 7,000 Key employees volunteered across the country at close to 900 non-profit agencies, committing a total of 28,000 hours to community organizations and projects.

Neighbors Make the Difference Day launched in 1991, with a group of KeyBank employees in Alaska who volunteered for service projects. By 1993, KeyBank extended the concept to many of the communities it served, making it an official day of employee volunteerism. Now, Neighbors Make the Difference Day is a hallmark program and leading corporate volunteerism effort in America, showcasing KeyBank’s commitment to communities.
