MANSFIELD — Vetter Law CEO, Attorney Bud Vetter, announces the addition of Marcus V. Phelps, Esq. as a business and transactional attorney.

Marcus Phelps’s practice areas with Vetter Law Offices will include Real Estate Law, Business Law and Estate Planning and Probate, as well as closing commercial and residential transactions for Barrister Title Group.

A Mansfield native, Marcus graduated from Ontario High School in 2007. He received a degree in Economics from the University of Akron in 2011, where he was appointed by the Governor of Ohio as a Student Trustee on the Board of Trustees and was the Commencement Speaker at the University of Akron Graduation Ceremony.

Desiring to gain work experience prior to law school, Marcus worked in Pittsburgh, PA as a consultant and Washington, DC as a legal assistant. In 2017 he obtained his Juris Doctorate from Indiana University Maurer School of Law.

Attorney Vetter is very pleased to bring this wonderful young talent back home to Mansfield. Attorney Phelps has a wealth of experience in Commercial Real Estate, regularly working on multi-million-dollar transactions as an attorney at a large law firm, KMK, in Cincinnati, Ohio and most recently at Ice Miller in Indianapolis, Indiana. He will be broadening his practice at Vetter Law to include Business Law and Estate Planning.

In August 2019 Marcus married Dalia Phelps in a ceremony held in Mansfield at his hometown church, Shiloh Baptist Church. His wife is a second-year law student at the IU McKinney School of Law in Indianapolis, Indiana and she hopes to focus her career in Immigration Law, Family Law, and Labor and Employment Law. Both look forward to living in Mansfield and giving back to the community that has given so much to Marcus.
