BUCYRUS -- The Crawford Success Center, part of North Central State College, will kick off its third annual “Arts for Success” Fundraising Art Auction on Monday, Feb. 22 when bidding opens for the online event.

The money raised is used for scholarships. Anyone wanting to see the 48 items up for sale can go to, register, view the items and place their bid.

The auction will wrap up with a Virtual Live Event at 6 p.m. on Thursday, March 4, where 20 of the items will be sold. The other 28 items will be open to continued bidding until 11 p.m.

A preview night for all auction items will be held at the Crawford Success Center, 130 N. Walnut St, Bucyrus on Friday, Feb. 26 from 4 to 7 p.m. Masks and Social distancing are required to attend. Castle Auction and Appraisals will be handling the auction.

A special highlight of the Virtual Live Event will be the presentation of the 2021 Arts for Success Leadership Award. Tina Husted, wife of Lt. Gov. Jon Husted serves as the event Champion and won the first Arts for Success Leadership award in February 2020.

She will be presenting this year’s award to the winner. She has also donated a beautiful art piece for the live auction that is not to be missed.

Other notable items include paintings in a variety of media, several gift baskets, a copper kettle, jewelry a watercolor class and a virtual presentation by a YouTube Sensation Judson Laipply.
