Amish buggy

An Amish buggy is a common sight in much of Ohio.

ASHLAND -- A second Amish woman involved in an accident on March 3 involving a PT Cruiser and an Amish buggy has died as a result of injuries she sustained in the crash.

Anna Miller, 48, died Wednesday afternoon in the hospital five days after she was taken by helicopter to Akron City Hospitals.

Her daughter, Lovina Miller, 21, was pronounced dead at the scene of the accident.

According to the Ashland Post of the Ohio State Highway Patrol, Warren Fletcher, 45, of West Salem was driving a 2007 Chrysler PT Cruiser north on U.S. 42 in the driving lane at about 3:38 p.m. on Friday, March 3, when he struck an Amish buggy in the rear. Both women were ejected from the buggy. 

No charges have been filed in the accident. The crash remains under investigation and alcohol is not considered to be a factor in the crash.
