MANSFIELD -- The U.S. Post Office in Mansfield has been located all over downtown at different times including, originally, in a hollow tree on the Square.
This was the first building in town built specifically for the purposes of postal services by the Federal Government in 1912 at Fourth and Mulberry.
When the current Federal Building was built in the flats in the 1960s and the Post Office moved there, this classic building became the main office for the Mansfield Board of Education. Today it's home for the law offices of Weldon, Huston & Keyser.
