Whitehall Yearling posted a tight 31-28 win over Northland in Ohio high school football action at Whitehall Yearling High on August 31.

The Vikings’ offensive output in the fourth period kept the fat lady from singing until the very end, but they still wasn’t enough as the Rams pulled away for good.

The Rams’ leverage showed as they carried a 29-21 lead into the fourth period.

It was tough to find an edge early, with the Rams and the Vikings fashioning a 21-21 stalemate through the first period.

Both teams were scoreless in the second period.
