GALION, Ohio — Five individuals and one team will comprise the newest inductees for the Crawford County Sports Hall of Fame.

William Durtschi was a fine athlete from Galion High School and played on the Ohio State Football National Championship team in 1942.

Jack Hewitt played high school sports at Bucyrus and was head softball coach there and led the team to a state championship in 1990.

Chuck Huggins is the head softball coach at Colonel Crawford and won the state in 1995.

David Katterhenrich played football at Bucyrus High School and was an outstanding fullback under Coach Woody Hayes at Ohio State.

Natalie Winkelfoos played basketball and softball for Bucyrus during high school, played in college at Baldwin Wallace and is the current athletic director at Oberlin College.

The 1985 girls state champion basketball team from Buckeye Central is also being inducted.

The Induction Banquet will be March 19, 2016 at the Trillium Event Center in Bucyrus. Tickets will be avalible soon.
