Lomon E. Fordham Jr., 69, was called home to be with our Lord and Savior on Friday, July 22, bravely battling a three-year struggle with cancer.

Lomon was preceded in death by his parents, Lomon Fordham, Sr. and Sallie Marie (Randolph) Fordham.

Lomon was born on May 27, 1947 in Toomsboro, Georgia to Lomon E. Sr. and Sallie Marie (Randolph) Fordham. The eldest of 11, he was a great provider and even greater protector. Loman Jr. graduated from high school in 1965, and went on to join the U.S. Army, and served his country in 1966, being honorably discharged in 1968.

He was an avid sportsman, and basketball was his favorite. He loved all children as if they were his own, and was always willing to offer sometimes kind words and sometimes not so kind. Never the less, everyone who knew him always knew which side they were on with him. The right side!

He leaves to cherish his memory, his loving wife, Kim (Randall) Fordham; three children, Donya Goodwyn, Tamara Macadoo, and Terrence Lomon McSwain; four step-children, Brandy Gray, Stacy Randall, Tracy Gray, and Chris Randall; eleven grandchildren; six brothers, James, Ricky, Wayne, Bruce, Tracy, and Johnny; and four sisters, Gerlinda, Deloris, Sharon, and Lisa.

Calling hours will be from 9 to 10 a.m. Saturday, July 30, 2016 at Werner-Gompf Funeral Service, 1106 Park Avenue East, Mansfield, Ohio, 44905. Services will follow at 10 a.m. at the funeral home with Pastor Lamont Lindsay officiating.
