Keith G. Sexton, 56, of Ashland, passed away on Friday, April 12, 2019 at UH Ashland Hospital. Keith was born on July 21, 1962 in Cleveland, Ohio. He was the son of Jack and Drussilla (Fry) Sexton.

Keith grew up in West Virginia with family after his mother’s death when he was two years old. He was raised by his grandfather where he learned to appreciate that a man’s handshake was his word.

Keith attended Cleveland State University where he earned his associates degree. He worked many different jobs and through those jobs landed his career in sales. He was certainly a salesman by nature, a true talker.

He was employed at Rex Pipe for over 27 years, and Cleveland Plumbing for the last 3 years. He was the President of the HOA of Stonecreek Development. A man with a big personality that was larger than life who genuinely cared for his family and friends, Keith enjoyed life and loved to have fun. He was very outgoing and was the master of “smack talk.” He valued the time he spent with his grandchildren, and would often show up to see his grandchildren toting a bag of various types of balls for them. He certainly had a soft spot for his grandchildren, and some of his most treasured moments were shared at Cleveland Indian games with them. Keith was always on the go from the moment he woke up in the morning. He loved basketball, and coached at the YMCA, and started a traveling league with the local high school children. He enjoyed golfing even when he wasn’t very good at it. He was an avid fantasy sports fan which he enjoyed with his son, son-in-law and friends. He was an avid Jimmy Buffet fan. Keith had a huge impact in many lives and he will be truly missed by his family and friends.

Keith leaves to cherish his memory his wife whom he married on October 22, 1994, Lesa (Creamer) Sexton; his children, Chris Harmon, Jessica Harmon, Dana (Ethan) Kimchi, and Jacob Harmon; his treasured grandchildren, Isaiah, Aryanna, Kiren, Ashton, Ari, and Asher; and many cherished friends. He was preceded in death by his mother.

Family and friends may visit from 4:00-8:00 pm on Tuesday, April 16, 2019 at the Ashland Home of Wappner Funeral Directors, 308 Claremont Avenue. Pastor Norm Johnson will officiate the funeral service on Wednesday, April 17, 2019 at 10:00 am at the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made to the Ashland YMCA, 207 Miller St., Ashland, Ohio 44805.
