MANSFIELD — The Richland County Board of Elections reported no changes after a state-mandated audit of the election results for the presidential, judicial and the county prosecutor races.

“The totals in the randomly selected vote centers in the audit showed 100-percent accuracy rate in the official totals,” director Paulette Hankins wrote in an email.

According to the Post-Election Audit Workbook filled out by Richland County Board of Elections staff, the total wages and salaries spent to complete the mandated audit amounted to $3,720, which included necessary materials.

The board of elections brought 12 people in to help with the audit, totaling to just over 365 hours total.

For the audit, the board of elections randomly selected two polling locations that represented five percent of the county’s total vote count, 56,106. Between Faith Lutheran Church and Holy Trinity Church in Mansfield, 2,856 votes were counted for the audit.

All counts remained the same.
