The NorthSide Farmers Market in Galion will be kicking off the season on Tuesday, May 5 at 4:30 p.m. in its new location at the city’s Heise Park.
The market will be filled with spring products straight from local farms and will be held every Tuesday from 4:30-6:30 p.m. through mid-October. Local producers will bring their fruits, vegetables, honey, maple syrup and baked goods. On the last Tuesday of each month, local artists and craftsmen will round out the market by showcasing their handmade products.
Vendors who have committed to the market include:

The market is also pleased to announce that many vendors will be able to accept SNAP (Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program) at the market starting in June this season. SNAP recipients may bring their Electronic Benefit Transfer (EBT) cards to the market and obtain tokens that may be used to purchase fresh, local vegetables, fruits, honey and preserves, among other products.
The NorthSide Farmers market is proud to champion the local foods movement and the associated environmental, economic and health benefits. Please support local farmers by planning to attend.
