ASHLAND — There is still time to register your middle school student for the Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math (STEM) camps in July at Ashland County-West Holmes Career Center, 1783 Ohio 60 in Ashland.

New this year is the Drone Camp. During four half-day sessions, morning or evening from July 16 – 19, students (eighth grade and older) will learn about FAA rules for drones and then build and fly a drone. As a bonus, each student will take home a new drone when camp ends.

The VEX Robotics Camp offers students, eighth grade and older, three full days of building and programming a robot and then competing in a “robot roundup.”

The multi-disciplinary all-day STEM Camp will provide attendees, seventh grade and above, with challenging science and engineering activities. Both the STEM and Robotics camps will meet from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m., July 17 – 19. Lunch is provided each day for all campers.

This educational summer break provides a chance for students to meet others with the same interest in science.

The cost is $30 for STEM Camp; $50 for the VEX Robotics Camp and $90 for Drone Camp. Call 419-289-3313 ext. 2205 for application and information or enroll online at www.acwhcc.org.
