When it was going up in 1925, downtown developers were thrilled put it in the headlines as ‘Mansfield’s First Sky Scraper.’  At six stories tall, it was head and shoulders above anything downtown that wasn’t a steeple.

The day it opened in 1926, people who rode up to the sixth floor reported vertigo looking out the windows down at the Square.

It was christened the WalPark Building; today it is the Barrington One Building.
